Tech company Samsung has always been working with a futuristic approach. Because of this thinking, the company continues to launch the latest products in the market and discontinues some products. In this regard, Samsung has not launched the Galaxy Note series this year. In early 2021, the South Korean company announced plans to launch a new Note series next year. It seems that the smartphone makers are not living up to their word this time. According to a new report coming out of South Korea, Samsung has discontinued the Galaxy Note series forever. After all, you should know why the company made this decision.
Although the company has not yet officially given any specific information about this, but rumors indicate that the company now wants to focus more on the foldable. Samsung allegedly believes that Foldable has a lot of potential and will be the future of smartphones going forward.
The company will focus on foldable
The South Korean smartphone maker already offers a wide variety of foldable devices globally as well as in India. Earlier this year, the company introduced the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 in the country. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 has received a good response from consumers and this is mainly due to the form factor and such an interesting price tag.
The price of a Samsung foldable phone is the same
The Galaxy Z Flip3 is currently priced at Rs 84,999 while the Z Fold3 is priced at Rs 1,49,999 which is featured on Samsung’s official website. Year after year, Samsung has improved its foldable experience.
Samsung wants to close the Galaxy Note and shift its focus to fully foldable. When it comes to shipments, the Galaxy Z Fold alone has a target of 13 million. In comparison, the Galaxy Note10 and Note20 series received 12.7 and 9.7 million orders in 2019 and 2020, respectively. Given this trend, it makes sense to shift the focus to the foldable.
The company is working on the Galaxy S22 series
Some media reports also suggest that Samsung is suspending production of the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra in 2022, which again makes sense as it is more than a year since these models were released. Currently, the company is working on the Galaxy S22 series of smartphones which is to be released in an unpacked event in the first half of 2022.
