Digital desk, San Francisco. Elon Musk, Tesla’s founder and CEO, tweeted on Monday that he was hiring Artificial Intelligence (AI) engineers who specialize in solving everyday problems through AI.

As always, Tesla is in search of hardcore AI engineers who take care of solving problems that directly affect people’s lives, Musk tweeted with a link to apply for the job.

Interested candidates can apply by filling in fields like name, email, software, hardware or exceptional work done in AI, leaving their biodata in PDF format and clicking on application option.

According to the website, Tesla’s AI and autopilot unit develops and utilizes autonomy on a large scale in vehicles, robots and more.

In a 2014 interview, Musk said he seeks evidence of exceptional ability in a potential employee rather than getting a degree from a prestigious university.

During an interview with the German automotive publication Auto Build, Musk spoke more broadly about his recruitment choices, saying there were no college degrees, or even high school requirements.

If a person has graduated from a great university, it may be a sign that he is capable of great things, but this is not necessary. If you look at people like Bill Gates or Larry Ellison, Steve Jobs, these people haven’t graduated from college, but if you get the chance to hire them, it would definitely be a good idea.
