Certain Fellowship Programs are run by private and government institutions for the students to advance in the field of research and to promote their research and many students are taking advantage of it. Google’s Fellowship Program is well known. Similarly, the Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship Scheme is also running. However, many people are not aware of such plans. Here is information about the Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship Scheme from Google.

Google’s PhD Fellowship Program: The Google PhD Fellowship Program selects undergraduate students who are doing innovative research in computer science and related fields. In which students are given Rs 36 lakh including stipend for 4 years and other activities related to research as well as travel expenses. He is also considered as a Google Research Mentor.

ICMR Centenary-Post Doctoral Research Fellowship Scheme

The Fellowship Scheme is run to enable students to pursue research in the fields of Basic Science, Infectious and Non-Infectious Diseases and Reproductive at ICMR Institutions and Centers. The purpose of this scheme is to support PhD, MD, MS degree holders.

Candidates are required to apply for this fellowship after 3 years of completion of PhD, MD or MS. Candidates applying for this fellowship should be below 32 years of age. Selected candidates are given Rs. 50,000 per month as part of this scheme.

National Post-Doctoral Fellowship

National post-doctoral fellowships are offered to students with PhD, MD, MS degrees from recognized universities and those who are ready to continue specialized research work in various fields of engineering.

Eligible students for this scheme get a chance to win a research grant of Rs. 2 lakh per annum. There is also a monthly allowance of Rs. 55,000 and other benefits under the scholarship.

UGC-NET Junior Research Fellowship

Students below the age of 30 can avail the benefits of this fellowship scheme. Candidates applying for this scholarship must have a master’s degree with at least 55% marks. UGC-NET conducts national level examinations twice a year and students who pass the examinations are given a monthly stipend of Rs. 14 thousand and Rs. Emergency allowance of 25 thousand is received. Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF)

This fellowship is given to students working in the field of research. The scheme helps 1000 BTech students to pursue PhD in IIT and IIS. Under this fellowship, Rs. Receives a grant of 75,000. Scholars of PhD and MTech are also eligible to avail this scheme.
