Huawei has launched its new foldable smartphone. The Huawei P50 Pocket is the latest smartphone in the foldable category. Unlike the Mate X-Series, the P50 Pocket has a flip phone folding mechanism similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3. It would not be wrong to say that it will rival the flip foldable phones of Samsung, Motorola and Oppo in the market.

The phone has a Snapdragon 888 chipset. The phone packs many top-of-the-line specs, though it won’t get 5G network support. This phone is currently available in China. There is currently no information on when the device will launch in other markets. Let’s take a look at the Huawei P50 pocket price, specs and other details.

The Huawei P50 Pocket launched in China is priced at CNY 8988 (approximately Rs. 1,06,000), which is the price of its 8GB + 256GB variant. The company has also launched the Premium Gold Edition at CNY 10,988 (approximately Rs. 1,29,900) with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The phone also comes in Black, Diamond White.

Huawei P50 Pocket Specs and Features

– The P50 Pocket has a 6.9-inch foldable display with a resolution of 2790×1188 pixels and a hole-punch camera cutout in the top center. The screen has 120Hz refresh rate support and 21: 9 aspect ratio. It also has a 300Hz touch sampling rate and provides up to 10.7 billion colors.

On the outside, there is a small 1-inch cover screen, which is useful for checking notifications, date, time, etc.

– Under the hood, the phone has a Snapdragon 888 chipset with 4G network support. The phone has up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. It packs a 4000 mAh battery with 40W fast charging support.

The foldable phone has a triple camera setup on the back with a 40MP primary camera sensor and a 13MP ultraviolet sensor. It also has a 32MP ultra-spectrum sensor.

When folded, the device measures 15.2mm and weighs 190 grams. When opened, the phone measures 7.2mm. It doesn’t have a Google mobile service and instead runs on Huawei’s HarmonyOS out-of-the-box. There is currently no information about the launch of the device outside of China.
