iPhone 14 – Apple has recently launched the iPhone 13 series of smartphones including the iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. At a time when the world is still getting used to the iPhone 13 series, reports of its successor, the iPhone 14, have already begun to appear on the Internet. These reports hint not only about the features but also about the model names, which is expected to change slightly next year. So here is everything we know so far about the iPhone 14 series.
When will the iPhone 14 series launch?
Apple usually launches its new iPhones in the first half of September and they usually go on sale on Friday in the second half of the month. Continuing the tradition, Apple introduced the iPhone 13 series on September 14 and on September 24 they went on sale in markets around the world. The iPhone maker will continue this tradition next year and is expected to launch the iPhone 14 series in a special program in September 2022. However, the exact launch dates are still unknown.
What will be special in iPhone 14 series
As mentioned earlier, a lot has been said about the specification of next year’s iPhone 14 series. The word is that Apple will release the ‘Mini’ iPhone next year in favor of the ‘Max’, which will make the iPhone 14 an entry-level iPhone next year. While the iPhone 14 series will still have four iPhone models, they will be given a slightly different name. The iPhone 14 series is expected to include the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max smartphones.
As far as features are concerned, the pro-level iPhone 14 model is expected to leave a dent in favor of the punch-hole display. However, the entry-level iPhone 14 is expected to retain a notch. As far as the front camera is concerned, Apple is expected to hide the Face ID component under the display. In addition, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro are expected to come with a stainless steel chassis with a glass back, while the Max and Pro Max models are tipped to get a titanium chassis.
Well known Apple tipster, Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro will come with a 6.1-inch OLED display, while the iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max will come with a 6.7-inch OLED display. Support for 5G connectivity is expected in all four models.
Strong display and camera
Another analyst, Ross Young, claims that the iPhone 14 will have a 6.06-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1170×2532 pixels and a 60Hz screen refresh rate and 460 pixels per inch. The iPhone 14 Pro, on the other hand, will have the same screen specs but with a 120Hz variable refresh rate. He also said that the iPhone 14 Pro Max is expected to have a 6.68-inch OLED display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate and 458 pixels per inch with a resolution of 1284×2778 pixels. The iPhone 14 Max will have the same screen specs but a 60Hz refresh rate.
In addition, all four iPhone models are reported to be powered by A16 chipsets. On the camera front, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are tipped to get a 48MP main camera, which is higher than the 12MP camera on the iPhone 13 model.
