Smartphone company Iku is all set to launch a phone with strong fast charging support in the Indian market. Indeed, the company is working on the iQOO 8 lineup, the successor to the iQOO 9 series. While the China launch of the iQOO 9 lineup remains a mystery, we have information about the upcoming iQOO 9 launch in India courtesy of 91mobiles.
Let us know that iQOO launched iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro smartphones in China in August. Both the devices have an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a triple camera setup on the back. The phone is yet to be launched in the Indian market and it seems that the company has no plans to launch these devices in the near future.
iQOO will launch in India by 9 February 2022
According to information provided to 91mobiles by industry sources, the iQOO 9 series smartphone will be launched in India in late January or early February 2022. According to industry sources, at least one handset from the iQOO 9 lineup will support 120W fast charging. We can expect the brand to launch two devices in the iQOO 9 series, namely the iQOO 9 vanilla model and the iQOO 9 Pro / Legend.
The next phone will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Generation 1 processor
iQOO has also confirmed that its next flagship smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8th Generation 1 processor, possibly iQOO 9 or iQOO 9 Pro. According to previous leaks, the iQOO 9 smartphone appeared on the IMEI database. The IMEI database listing revealed the model number of the device as V2171A. The specifications of both iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro are currently unknown. However, these upcoming smartphones can be expected to have an AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, triple camera setup and 4500mAh battery. Speaking of software, we can expect that these phones will run Android 12 out-of-the-box.

To recall, the iQOO 8 has a 6.56-inch AMOLED display with FHD + resolution. The display panel display has a 120Hz refresh rate, 92.76 screen-to-body ratio, pixel density of 398 ppi and a 19: 9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the iQOO 8 vanilla model is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. Other specs of the device include 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB UFS 3.1, in-display fingerprint sensor, Face Unlock, 120W fast charging support, 5G network connectivity and 48MP triple-camera setup.

The iQOO 8 Pro, on the other hand, comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with QHD + resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10 + support. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 888+ processor. It packs up to 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. The device packs a 50MP triple camera setup and a 16MP front-facing selfie camera. Other features include 5G, 4G VoLTE, USB Type-C port, 4500mAh battery, 120W fast charging support and 50W Qi wireless charging.
