Digital Desk, San Francisco. Microsoft has introduced the Windows 11 SE laptop, designed specifically for educational purposes. The new Windows 11 version is an improved version of Microsoft’s latest OS release, optimized for the educational market.

Windows 11 SE comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote and OneDrive, and can be used offline as part of a Microsoft 365 license.

Windows 11 SE will only be available preloaded on new devices in the education market. It will not be available for existing devices or separately available for users to install on any other device. Various OEMs including Acer, Asus, Dell, Dynabook, Fujitsu, HP, Lenovo and other PC makers will also introduce their own Windows 11 SE PCs.

Meanwhile, the Surface laptop SE will start at $ 249.99, making it Microsoft’s cheapest device ever. The Surface Laptop SE has a 16: 9 11.6-inch 1366×768 TFT display, Intel Celeron N4020 and N4120, 4GB plus 8GB RAM and 64GB plus 128GB eMMC storage.

Connectivity on the Surface Laptop SE includes a USB-A port, USB-C port, DC connector and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The laptop comes with a 1MP camera on the front for video calling. The laptop includes WiFi 5 (802.11ac) support and Bluetooth 5.0 LE.

The exterior of the laptop is covered with a white plastic glaze called Microsoft Glacier. It will be available in the US, UK, Canada and Japan.
