Many of Samsung’s Android tablets are already in the market and now the company has officially launched its latest tab Galaxy Tab A8. The company says that this is the most powerful tab of the A-series so far. The Galaxy Tab A8 packs a powerful screen, power and display into a slim and lightweight design designed for learning, entertainment and more.

Notably, the company sells some of the best Android tablets like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7 FE. The company also has some cheaper options for those interested in media streaming and light gaming, especially the Tab A7 and A8 series. Thus, the Galaxy Tab A8 is the latest entry with a 10.5-inch display, coming soon in Europe, US and other regions.

Learn the specs of the new tab in detail
– Tab supports 10.5-inch * 1920×1200 (WUXGA) TFT display and runs on Android 11 OS. For photography, the Tab has an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
This tab will be available in three variants 3GB + 32GB, 4GB + 64GB, 4GB + 128GB. Tab storage can be expanded up to 1TB with a microSD card.
– Tab will work on 2GHz octa-core processor. The Tab will get a 7,040mAh battery, which will come with 15W fast charging support.
For connectivity, LTE, Wi-Fi 5 (802.11 a / b / g / n / ac), Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v5.0 will be available in the tab for connectivity.
Apart from this, Type C USB 2.0, 3.5mm audio jack will also be available in the tab. As sensors, accelerometers, compasses, gyros, lights and hall sensors will be available in the tab.

The new Galaxy Tab A8 is definitely a budget tablet, with the cheapest model having 32GB storage and 4GB RAM and LCD screen. There’s also no pen support, which is common on Samsung’s high-end and mid-range tablets right now. However, you get a 10.5-inch 1080p LCD display, USB Type-C port with 15W charging and a headphone jack on all models with at least 4GB RAM.

Samsung has not revealed the chipset currently using the tablet, but previous leaks from WinFuture and Onlix have claimed that it has the UniSOC T618 “Tiger” SoC. That chip is from 2019, and was only used in the 4G version of the ZTE Axon 20 and Teclast T40 tablet. That Teclast tablet review stated that the CPU and GPU performance was decent, so here’s hoping the Galaxy Tab A8 won’t be too slow.
